Welcome to "SAVES" Sawyer Actions & Voices for Economic Stability -- a web blog to increase community collaboration and communication about family economic issues that impact household and community economic well-being. What do you know or want to know about issues such as housing, homeless, hunger, employment, health etc. that have an affect on Sawyer County individual, family and community economic stability. What is being done in your network of community: faith-based, agency, workplace, recreational, community service groups, etc. to learn about hunger/homeless or to help people in need? What ideas do you have for increasing access to affordable housing and adequate food? Heightening public awareness? Helping people do more with what they have? Please use this blog format to openly dialogue and share about data, situations, needs, programs, resources, events, etc. In response to November 2008, National Homeless Awareness month, a Hunger/Homeless (formerly "ACCESS") task force was formed. This group of concerned agency and community members wants to know the answer to WHAT CAN BE DONE? in Sawyer County to help increase access to sufficient food and adequate housing for a healthy life. Become involved! To learn more about steps to take go to, http://www.EndHungerWI.org. Please use this blog format to openly dialogue and share about data, situations, needs, programs, resources, events, etc. Dialogue here to help join forces to address these real needs. Participate in the SAVES collaboration.
