Sawyer Housing Authority reports housing/homeless data

SAWYER HOUSING AUTHORITY /June 2009 Update: SHA has received 49 applications. Of the 49, eight of applicants were either elderly or disabled. Two were single people and the remaining were families. Five of the applicants are homeless, 28 are living with other people, and five are paying over half of their monthly income toward their housing expense. Five also claim that they are living in substandard housing (I would be cautious in using the substandard as many people have varying definitions of substandard housing). Twenty-eight of the 49 are working or have disability income.

The voucher waiting list opened on 5/18/09 and since then we received 19 applications. The other 30 applicants were from 1/1/09. Now that the list is open again, we will have more activity with our data.

If you need anything else, let me know. Thanks. (715) 634-4280 / sheila54843@yahoo.com
